Where playing with toy soldiers is the whole point - and sharing the joy of doing so. And keeping a record of what's been done and what is still awaiting completion. A note of caution for those unfamiliar: this activity can be remarkably addictive and take over your free time. Well, now wait a minute, it's so much fun that shouldn't be a problem. Oh, that's right. It's not! (title with asterisk in bar below is newest or most recent modification to a Page topic)

A Detour into the Shape of Things to Come
Some mixed metaphors. Some self-indulgence. And, with a little luck, some self-inspiration. Oh, and a new item to show off - if not yet painted. And, yes, a number of items in this post are not painted but, as said, some self-indulgence in just seeing items on a mini-table all together, only 32" x 40", a fraction of a 'normal' table for me which, at minimum, is usually, at least, 5' x 6' (or 8') which is more than triple what you are about to see.
A first view, the building to the top is the proximate reason for this post, more on that later.
An overall view of pulp, Africa colonial and perhaps more, thus the mixed metaphors.
Hippos in process both in and out of the water and some Cape buffalo on the land.
A dozen grayrillas as I call them, pulp or otherwise.
Elephants, wildebeest, zebras and more.
Porters heading towards the river's edge.
Giraffe and quagga, the latter likely to get some repainting work at some point, stripes should be a little darker and more visible.
A few okapi in the jungle. The trees are still in process, some just need basing work, the others trunk work, canopy work, and basing textured.
Some monkeys on small tree trunks.
A few rhinos in process.
A small boat in process with a couple of figures on board - from the pulp game in process of preparing.
The bow of the larger river boat with a few similar figures.
A few more figures in front of - unpainted - a jungle cruise building I've had for a bit.
And those same figures in front of the newer jungle cruise building that just arrived today. Finally - took about six weeks.
Another view of the same new building.
The view of the other side of the building - with some critters in view.
A rather large ape in the image - apparently a very stealthy beast because no panic among man or beast. Yet.
And one more shot of the zebras and wildebeest, just for me because I wanted it.
