Where playing with toy soldiers is the whole point - and sharing the joy of doing so. And keeping a record of what's been done and what is still awaiting completion. A note of caution for those unfamiliar: this activity can be remarkably addictive and take over your free time. Well, now wait a minute, it's so much fun that shouldn't be a problem. Oh, that's right. It's not! (title with asterisk in bar below is newest or most recent modification to a Page topic)

Getting Back on Track for the Pulp Collection
Now that the introductory game of Robin Hood is behind me, I'm back working on my pulp items, today I assembled what should be all (most?) of the piers I will need for the seaport - and I expect the same piers will do double duty in pirate games.
Began with this pile of material - from various deeply discounted going out of business sales or from thrift stores for super cheap. There was some additonal material from the same sources dragooned in along the way.
That is nine linear feet of seaport using the piers I assembled today. Still need to color them and then add details but I might make the details 'modular' since some will be too modern for pirates.
Just the same from the other end.
I built four of these largest sections - and very purposefully did not do a 'precise' job because I want the port to look a bit run down.
I built another eight narrow and lower piers. The rip-off jinga blocks will get stained to try to preserve the wood grain.
I have a solid supply of parts and pieces to enhance the scratchbuilding tramp steamers and other watercraft. That is all for now, back to working on hardscaping project in the morning, some serious heavy lifting.
