Where playing with toy soldiers is the whole point - and sharing the joy of doing so. And keeping a record of what's been done and what is still awaiting completion. A note of caution for those unfamiliar: this activity can be remarkably addictive and take over your free time. Well, now wait a minute, it's so much fun that shouldn't be a problem. Oh, that's right. It's not! (title with asterisk in bar below is newest or most recent modification to a Page topic)

The Backdrop: Side One Painted
My "modeling" project for the day.
I'm not a trained artist, one art class in junior high school 50+ years ago and many episodes of Joy of Painting watched so not a professional paint job, just a painted portable backdrop - and photo background.
Above shows an overall shot, 16" high by 96" long with widened base to give some stability. A bit blurry. The far right end.
Next portion to the left.
The central portion of the backdrop.
One more section to the left.
And the far left.
And here it is sitting on the floor of the garage still drying. This shot gives a truer sense of the color of the sky - a gallon of 'oops' paint at the local big box for cheap, darker blue than I would have chosen but the price was right.
